Adding Probability Distributions to Time intervals
Hello,
The possibility to add different probabilistic distributions to time intervals would be very useful to express real-life phenomena like waiting time, component failure rate, etc in our models. For example, instead of having a minimum and maximum value for firing a certain transition in our state machine, we would like to describe the time interval by a mean value and standard deviation (Normal distribution). This would help in simulating our model closer to the actual results observed in real life.
The most interesting probability laws to have would be :
- Triangular distribution
- Exponential distribution
- Weibull distribution
- Log-normal distribution
- Normal distribution
Thank you
